North Middle School is participating in Heifer International’s Read to Feed program through their English classes. Read to Feed is a nationwide campaign that promotes literacy while heightening students' awareness that their actions can make a difference in the lives of others. On February 26, 2018, Ms. Jen Winter, a representative from Heifer International, came to speak with our students. She shared how the program originated, the impact it has made in the lives of those in need, and how the program creates opportunities to empower and educate young women.
As a school community, we are pledging to read to make an impact on the global community. The more books students read, the more donations they earn, the more livestock and resources they can donate to families in need. With every page we turn, we help to improve the lives of people around the world! Please check out their website for more information - readtofeed.org |
